Travis Scott is back with his latest melodic smash entitled Butterfly Effect. The 25 year old Houston rapper is famed for his melodies and is in the top bracket in that field currently. Travis has a collaboration album with Quavo dropping soon. Butterfly Effect was produced by Canadian Producer MurdaBeatz whose stock is rising in Hip Hop. Murda has produced for many premier acts noticeably Drizzy on More Life

In just under one month since the official video was published, Butterfly Effect has 17 million views. The melody is undeniable as the vibe is created instantly.

Is he wildin’ with his girlfriend Kylie Jenner like this?

Hidden Hills

Los Angeles is home to the Hidden Hills, located next to Calabassas where celebrities hang. Notably, the Kardashian-Jenner clan, Kanye, Jamie Foxx and Drake.

Being high on narcotics may enable you to visualise the video to Butterfly Effect in a different dimension. Regardless, it is funkadelic with a lot of trippy scenes. A mountainous region is the setting for Travis to glide off the side of his Lamborghini. La Flame is iced out and is fully embracing his bull-shit.

What is a Butterfly Effect?

The term refers to the concept that small causes can have a large effect. It is also a trash 2004 movie starring my guy Ashton Kutcher. Travis Scott being a rapper puts the spin of a ‘double entendre’ on the Butterfly Effect. It also refers to the doors of the Lamborghini that Travis owns and is sporting in the video.

Lyrics

It is pretty explanatory as Travis Scott is going to stay true to himself and embrace his imperfections. This is a good message to send if your current life is promoting positivity and progress. If it is not ticking those two boxes maybe you need to change!

For this life, I cannot change
Hidden Hills, deep off in the main
M&M’s, sweet like candy cane
Drop the top, pop it, let it bang (pop it, pop it)

8/10.

I have been replaying this one all afternoon. Butterfly Effect is another wavy tune, which is adding to the notion that 2017 was a great year for Hip Hop.

Now, I certainly do not agree with the underlying message of designer drug use as cited in the chorus. However, Hip Hop is not an ethical playhouse. It’s just rap.
