Rita’s Your Song is a ‘sad-song-free-zone’

 Your Song – The Process

Your Song has everything I wanted to express: it’s a song that’s full of positivity and about feeling on top of the world, like everything is going right and that’s where my life is right now. I loved working with Ed and Steve; it was incredible to really bring this idea to life with some of the most talented songwriters of our time – Rita Ora.

High Praise for Ed Sheeran in Your Song’s creative process!

As for man like Steve Mac he is no slouch when it comes to this Pop Music tip. Steve has produced for acts such as  Lily Allen, Emeli Sandé, Jason Derulo, Ed Sheeran. It is clear from that roster he is running his department.

Official Lyric Video

Check out Rita Ora’s official YouTube channel for the lyric video for the sing-a-long vibe. At various points in Your Song I can hear Ed’s voice. Your Song was released May 25th 2017 and the comment section is ringing off as are the views – a cool 2 million at this stage.

Your Song Lyrics

Rita Ora is trying a ting musically with the format of Your Song. The tune boasts of a pre-chorus as well as post-chorus to hook us.

[Chorus]

Don’t want to sing mad songs anymore
Only want to sing your song
Cause your song’s got me feeling like I’m

[Post-Chorus]
I’m in love, I’m in love, I’m in love

Rita is pouring her emotions out on the line in Your Song as the love bug has got her. According to the lyrics she is usually the type of shorty to hit and run.

Rita is winking at Cupid in Your Song!

Rating

7/10.

This is Pop playboy so the catchiness and intent of the song is there “off gates” (from the start). As is the case with many of these tunes in the first minute I could not catch the direction. However, Your Song grows on a motherfucker and it finished strongly. Summer 17 is on the near horizon and Your Song MIGHT feature on the playlist.
